Duke measured his pulse and found that his heart
beat at a rate of 80 beats a minute at rest. At this rate,
how many days will it take his heart to beat 1,000,000
times? Show your work and be sure you explain each step.

ReplyDeleteFirst, I realized i had to find out how many beats per hour so i multiplied 80 times 60 because there are 60 minutes in an hour and i got 4800. To get how many beats in a day i multiplied that by 24 because there are 24 hours in a day and i got 115,200. Then i divided 1,000,000 by 115200 to get how many days it takes and i got about 9 (8.68).
