Shape Project:
Project is due on Tuesday 1-18 for 8-2 and 8-3!
project consists of finding the surface area and volume of the 11 3-d shapes given out in class. You must make a creation with the shapes once you have found the volume and surface area. a list of these calculations should accompany the creation (mobile, statue, poster, etc). If you wish, you may create a 3d solid shape that includes at least 4 different size solids. You need to have the plan, the volume and surface area accompany your finished product. See me if you are interested in doing this project. This project will help you when it comes time to create your balloon in science class.

New Year Homework!
8th Grade Homework - due on Wednesday
8-1: Linear Equations WS- The WS had 20 linear equations on it. The first 10 you are finding the "zeros" of each equation. There were 2 equations that we did as examples in class... you were supposed to write the example in class. The second 10 (11-20) you need to make a table to find 4 values of x! You might need to simplify the problem first. You were given an example for the type also. After you have done all the problems, you need to graph 10 of them. You will be chceking them on the graphing calculator so remember to write down what problem you are graphing. If you need graph paper click here
8-2: Ch 3 re-test! use the test we went over in class as a study guide
8-3: page 175-176
1-20all
If you have ideas for the January Raffle prize let me know.... the December Glee raffle was a hit! congrats to Ashley and Natalie for winning!
